Shamar Stephen, the run-stuffing defensive tackle, smacked Alexander Mattison on the helmet, an attaboy for a job well done. They’re typically seated on the bench away from the action, but they wanted to feel a part of this, the drive that would give the Vikings their first lead of the afternoon, and, if things went according to plan, the first fourth-quarter comeback win of Kirk Cousins’ tenure with this team. As the Vikings took the ball inside the Packers’ 10-yard line, members of the team’s defense stood up and inched closer to the sideline.
